The Palisades Rotary Club pulled off a slam dunk for education last fall, raising $10,000 for Palisades Charter High School through a community-driven raffle centered around a special prize: dinner with Steve Kerr, Warriors NBA coach, U.S National Team coach, and Pali High alum.

The idea was simple but powerful. Rotary members organized every detail of the fundraiser, from ticket design to grassroots outreach. They hit the pavement, sold the tickets, and rallied the community to support local students. Steve Kerr generously agreed to lend his name and time to the cause, offering to have a private dinner with the grand prize winner.

Sharif Ossayran was the lucky raffle winner and brought his cousin, Khalid Al Mukhater, for the unforgettable evening. They dined with Steve and his mother, Ann Kerr, sharing stories and laughter.

Thanks to the dedication and hustle of the Palisades Rotary Club, the fundraiser was a huge success. It netted $10,000, which will directly support programs at Pali High.
